The Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) adopts resolutions on a wide range of issues that impact nurses, health professionals, and the patients and communities we serve. These resolutions help guide our collective work and reflect our vision for advancing health professions and strengthening healthcare in Ohio.

Most resolutions are debated and adopted by members at ONA’s biennial convention, though the Board of Directors may also act on resolutions between conventions when necessary.

From time to time, newer resolutions—or portions of them—may replace or update previous positions on similar topics. Therefore, while all adopted resolutions reflect the voice and intent of our members at the time, they may not always represent ONA’s most current policies or priorities.
