ONA cares about a lot of things, and voting is one of them. Our members, including myself, value having our voices heard. Whether it’s a local, state, or national election, the repercussions of what is decided at the polls has the potential to impact nurses and the care we give. Voting is an opportunity to have a hand in shaping the community; the community we are dedicated to serving in so many ways.
The short of it: Get out and vote. Do your research, encourage others to have their voice heard, and exercise your [precious, valuable, priceless] right to vote. There are over 200,000 registered nurses in Ohio. What would happen if we all voted? What would happen if we all personally encouraged three others to vote? There is only one way to find out…
