Donations through Amazon, Homage used to support nurses.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Nurses Association and The Ohio Nurses Foundation are teaming up with the public in showing support for nurses working the frontlines. Through an Amazon wishlist and Homage t-shirt sales, the two organizations plan to send hundreds of care packages to Ohio’s nurses.

“We wanted to find a way for the public to join us in showing Ohio nurses how much they are appreciated, especially during this scary time. Something as small as a care package can mean so much to a nurse who is working tirelessly day in and day out. Ohioans recognize the sacrifices they are making each day and we want those frontline nurses to know that we are all in this together: the ONA, the ONF and all of Ohio,” stated Deborah Arms, PhD, RN, President of the Ohio Nurses Association.

“We are grateful to have partnered with Homage and their #LoveANurse t-shirt. This partnership has already raised $10,000 and our foundation has guaranteed a $10,000 match. This money will go towards supporting nurses on the frontlines, including the purchasing of care packages,” stated Susan Stocker, Chair of the Ohio Nurses Foundation.

Amazon wishlist items include essentials such as razors, toothpaste and deodorant for those extended days and overnight hospital stays, as well as snacks and phone chargers. Purchases may be made here.
