Cincinnati Nurses to Hold Solidarity Event in Response to Recent Union Attacks
Nurses, community members stand with union officers

WHAT: The 1,700 nurses of the Registered Nurses Association of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and public allies are holding a rally Friday evening demanding the Medical Center put an end to their union-busting antics in an attempt to silence the voice of the nursing union.
The event comes after the harassment and subsequent firing of union vice president, Jennifer Donaldson, and final written discipline of union president, Michelle Thoman.
The union filed five charges against the Medical Center on Monday, June 24th alleging that the disciplines and actions of Medical Center are illegal.

• Kelly Trautner, Interim CEO of the Ohio Nurses Association
• Bob Cousins, Deputy Executive Office of Labor Relations, Ohio Nurses Association
• Mother Paula Jackson
• Jennifer Donaldson, 28-year labor and delivery nurse, union officer illegally terminated from the medical center
• Michelle Thoman, medical-surgical nurse, union president illegally disciplined by Medical Center
Additional attendees include representatives for Council P.G. Sittenfeld and Senator Sherrod Brown.
